Many people are bias by their own ideas of their self. You can hear this in the recurring themes in their conversation.
I know I have a slight bias due to ideals, but being a flexible person who’s always interested in what they can learn means I’m more receptive. There’s no filter changing words I hear into words I want to hear, and that confirm my own ideas. Escape from this and you become much more empathetic and in tune with other people.
